Big News from Nantasket Sweets by Swedes — We’re Coming to Charles Street in Beacon Hill, Boston!

We are beyond excited to announce that Charles Street will soon be the home of a brand-new location for Nantasket Sweets by Swedes!

From the seaside charm of Hull to the historic streets of Beacon Hill, this next chapter feels incredibly special to us. Charles Street is known for its beautiful brick sidewalks, cozy cafés, boutique shopping, and timeless Boston character — and we could not imagine a more perfect place to bring our Swedish candy experience.

Our new shop will offer the same colorful world of authentic Swedish candy that so many of you already love:

  • Pick & Mix Swedish candy

  • Sweet, sour, gummy, foamy, and licorice favorites

  • Handcrafted chocolate fudge

  • Sea salt caramels

  • Seasonal treats and surprise creations

  • Beautiful gift bags and candy boxes

But this location will also bring something new — a little Scandinavian sweetness right in the heart of Boston.

Walking down Charles Street, you’ll soon be able to step inside and experience the magic of Swedish candy culture for yourself. We want the store to feel joyful, nostalgic, welcoming, and full of discovery — a place where both kids and adults can find their new favorite treat.

For us, this is more than opening another candy store. It’s a dream that has grown from years in hospitality, a love for customer experience, and a passion for sharing the flavors and traditions we grew up with in Sweden.

We are so grateful for all the support from our customers, community, friends, and family who helped make this possible. Every visit, every kind word, and every bag of candy purchased has helped us grow into this exciting new adventure.

We cannot wait to welcome you to Beacon Hill soon.

Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for sneak peeks, opening updates, and behind-the-scenes moments as we prepare our newest sweet destination in Boston!

The founder Maria👋🇸🇪

At 20 years old, I made one of the boldest decisions of my life — I bought my first apartment… unseen, over the phone, while working a shift as a waitress at Hotel Rubinen in Gothenburg.

That moment set the tone for everything that followed.

Over the next 18+ years, I worked my way through multiple management roles in the hospitality industry. I was driven, focused, and always aiming higher. One day, I told my boss that I wanted her job — General Manager. She smiled and said, “Why not? Just make sure you get there before you turn 50.”

Challenge accepted. And achieved.

Ten years later, as a General Manager, I realized something important — I wanted more. Not just to run someone else’s vision, but to build something of my own. My own brand. My own dream.

So I made another bold move.

We left Sweden to pursue the American dream.

Six years ago, that dream became reality with the launch of Nantasket Sweets By Swedes — bringing a taste of Sweden to the U.S. through handcrafted sweets, chocolate, and authentic candy experiences. I hope to inspire others to persuade their dreams.

And this is just the beginning…

Now, we are getting ready for the next chapter: expanding the brand and opening a second location.

Stay tuned 👋🍭🇸🇪
