At Nantasket Sweets, we believe candy should be more than a sweet treat — it should spark joy, nostalgia, and a sense of wonder. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to share the magic of Swedish godis with candy lovers across the U.S.
Our founder, Maria, moved from Sweden to the U.S. in 2019 and opened Nantasket Sweets on Christmas Eve in 2020. Inspired by her and her children’s childhood memories of Lördagsgodis (Saturday candy).
She created a space where others could discover — or rediscover —
the colorful world of Swedish Candy.
The road to success has not been straight all the way. To start a business during COVID and survive the aftermath with crises and inflation has been a long road full of hard work ups and downs. Her husband got sick and needed a kidney and Maria donated hers 2022. After just a few weeks she was back in the store to work, the show has to go on.
As a proudly women-owned business, every box is curated with care, love, and a little Scandinavian magic. From sour gummy candies and fruity Swedish fish to home made high quality chocolates and salty licorice, each piece is chosen for its quality and charm.
What started as a passion project has grown into a nationwide favorite, with millions of views on TikTok and a community of candy fans who keep coming back for more.
